As a woman, balancing what we want and need with life’s demands comes a unique set of challenges. Along with the responsibilities and expectations of family, friends, and work, we are faced with a variety of unrealistic cultural standards. I know because I am a woman. Self-imposed or coming from external sources, we have lots of stress and pressure to do it all and have it all. At times, our physical and mental health can suffer leading us to feel overwhelmed, drained, stuck, even hopeless. Just imagine feeling better equipped to cope and create more balance and ease in your life. Many women I work with tell me that they want to feel more confident, self-assured, and happier. I teach women to communicate more clearly, reduce their anxiety and have more fulfilling relationships. If you want to get to the root of your problems, overcome emotional challenges and make positive changes in your life, I can help.
So many parents I talk with are confused, frustrated, guilt ridden or ashamed. They blame themselves when their child is not meeting expectations. It is not uncommon for parents to share with me that they feel disappointed in their child or relationships at home. Often, they tell me they wish they had the tools or skills to communicate better, help their child to succeed or reduce conflict among family members. Imagine feeling capable and empowered to overcome whatever obstacles block your path and assisting your child to grow and thrive. I teach parents how to communicate more effectively, improve their problem solving and coping skills and to recognize the impact they have within their families. My work with parents reflects my philosophy that while there are no perfect parents, best parenting practices convey that each member of the family is safe and cherished.
During this stage, the ultimate goal to live a meaningful balanced and happy life appears within your grasp. But as all life transitions, there are an array of challenges, many unique to the senior years, that fill you with anxiety, worry and self-doubt. Many seniors I speak with feel overwhelmed, angry, helpless, abandoned, and vulnerable. Sometimes they tell me they feel stuck in personal and relational cycles that they do not know how to break. Other times my clients tell me that they are struggling to find purpose and meaning in life. My role is to help you safely explore these frightening feelings in a way that enriches your life through hope, greater freedom and contentment. No matter where you are in your journey, there is room to grow, evolve, and enhance your life.
Are you at a point where you feel that things are beyond your control? Have you tried a bunch of different strategies, but in the end, none worked over time? Do you wish you had the tools or skills to be a better communicator, support a loved one or reduce conflict within your family? If this sounds like you, perhaps you believe it's time to get some help or things may get worse over time.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
